[PEEP-SHOW] Concertina fold-out view of the tunnel in four hand-coloured sections, the last section pasted onto the back board and enlarged by opening a small flap (the flap creased and torn with slight loss), a further wood-engraved view of the Wapping terminus pasted onto front board (this slightly cropped at upper margin and soiled), with double peep-hole showing pedestrians in the tunnel, and single peep-hole with a view of shipping on the Thames above and the Rotherhithe terminus, the entire scene intended to represent the opening day on March 25th 1843, with caption to the view at Wapping giving the tunnels' dimensions, cost and the opening date itself [no imprint or date but presumably also published in 1843], overall length when open 18½in., original blue boards (originally contained within a morocco wallet which is now only partly preserved).
