A sampler by Harriet Burry 1827, the centre with an elegant brick house and garden, with a gate in a wall at the bottom border, the field with bird and tree spot motifs and the verse "When my short Glass..." at the top, worked in coloured silks, within a stylised floral border--16 x 19.5in.
