J.P. Kayser & Son, near Dusseldorf, was one of the first German foundries to produce art pewter, manufactured under the name of Kayserzinn (Kayster pewter) from 1896. The majority of wares, which included ashtrays, dishes and vases were in the Art Nouveau style with flowing and organic forms with great use of natuarlistic elements.
