38mm. solid figure dressed in flying suit, in original box, lid printed 'AMY JOHNSON - England's greatest figure in the world of aviation. A native of Hull.Was a typist and a Sunday School teacher. In 1930, when only twenty-four, was the first woman to make a solo flight from England to Australia. Honoured by the King for her wonderful feat of courage and endurance.' (E, box G)
