with golden mohair, black boot button eyes, pronounced clipped snout, brown horizontally stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed shaped limbs and felt pads --14in. (36cm.) tall, circa 1910 (small overall wear and matting to mohair)

Lot Essay

Although little is known about Strunz, they were clearly influenced by Steiff and produced copies of Steiff products adopting the similar trade mark of the button in left ear. Steiff took legal action against the Company and patented the button in left ear as their own trade mark.
