with blond mohair, brown and black glass eyes cut into internal rubber face mask with rubber eye sockets, large wide apart ears, clipped snout, black moulded rubber nose and mouth, unjointed, stuffed with wood-wool and pink rubber feet pads, paws and claws --20in. (51cm.) tall, circa 1950 (damage to paws and feet, sparseness to outer arms, slight overall wear)

Lot Essay

This realistic bear was the creation of Sylvia R. Wilgoss, chief designer for Dean's from the 1950s. The bear was created after extensive studies of real 'Grizzly' Bears.
