The first with tapering double-edged blade etched at the forte, the hilt comprising writhen recurved quillons, knuckle-guard en suite, side-rings on one side, fluted globular pommel, and spirally fluted wire-bound wooden grip; the last with plain blade, iron hilt comprising scrolled quillons, knuckle-guard, side-guard pierced with a shield, large cartouche-shaped pommel, and leather-covered wire-bound grip
