A Satsuma hexagonal baluster vase, painted and heavily gilt with scenes of warriors, officials and attendants in rocky river landscapes, alternating with panels of birds amidst flowering branches, the neck and shoulder with stylised dragons and pheonix between lappets, the base with a band of stylised characters and scolls -- 18in.(46cm.) high.
