A rare lacquered and marble-finished brass reflecting circle,
signed on the primary limb Th. Wegener Berlin. No. 1581, and further engraved A.J.W., the spoked and braced frame with silvered scale, finely divided with two verniers, tangent screw adjustment with clamp, the limb with graduated bubble-level, mirrors, an arm with magnifier and light diffuser, fitted with prism and six shades, adjustable telescope mounting socket, and double teak handle, with four telescopes, one with prism, another with rotating eyepiece shades, all contained in the original mahogany carrying case -- 12.1/2in. (30.7cm.) wide
