A Chinese sancai glazed shallow dish moulded in relief with a central open chrysanthemum head surrounded by further scattered peony flowers and leaves, the glaze on the underside falling short of the foot to reveal the buff pottery -- 10in. (25.5cm.) diam, Liao Dynasty.
