The drum-shaped case flanked by lion ring masks handles and surmounted by a twin handled urn, on a voluted plinth applied with acanthus leaf mounts and hung with oak leaf and acorn swag above an inverted breakfront base, the circular white enamel Roman dial with blue and black numerals, with pierced gilt pointers, signed JEANNOT DROZ, A BESANCON, the twin train movement with countwheel strike on a bell, the movement with glazed door to the back (cracked)
