all lithographed and hand-coloured, one marked J T Wood, with profile of a lady dashing, in a hooped skirt, verse 'Tis not for love, but 'tis for fear,/Lest fate design you for my dear,/I'd sooner drown and end my life,/Than have a dasher for a wife - 4¾ X 7¼in. 12 X 19cm., circa 1840; another marked G Ingram, with man leaning against a wall looking at a pig in a sty, with verse Paddy who'd care for your wooing,/No one of sense I should say,/For I know that you like to be doing/Nothing the whole of the day./.... - 7 1/8 X 9¾in. 19 X 24cm., circa 1840; two others, marked Marks & Sons, one with a man standing with walking stick in one hand and other hand on his hip, verse Alas, poor man, thy suit of plush,/Has faily turned thy brain I ween/But if thou art a man, Oh, blush,/To be a thing so very mean,... - 7 X 9¼in. 18 X 24cm., 1830's -1850's; the other with embossed border, with picture of a couple holding hands, with verse Sweet one there is a charming thing/Which all desire to prove./Up from the peasant to the king,/And that, my dear, is love - 4¾ X 7in. 12 X 18cm.,circa 1830, picture marked S Marks, paper marked Windsor
