An unusual moving doll
with moulded bisque head and hand, the carton "skirt" containing a wide wooden wheel and a curved wooden base allowing the doll to be rolled along on a band - 11½in. 29cm. high, bisque German, the mechanism probably English, late nineteenth century); and a poured wax shoulder-headed doll, with blue inset eyes, blonde inset hair and stuffed body - 16in. 40½cm. high, (limbs damaged)
