the anglaise style case with foliate cast reeded columns to the front angles, ripple-moulded cornices, presentation inscription to the reverse, with reaumur thermometer to the top centred by a compass, the Arabic chapter ring with recessed lever escapement to the centre, strike on gong to the backplate numbered 6105, French, early 20th century -- 9¾in. (25cm.) high
