decorated in hiramakie and nashiji with figures in boats beside bridges and huts in a mountainous landscape, the interior in nashiji -- 2¾.in (7cm) long; attached wood netsuke of a standing Immortal stroking his beard -- 2¼.in (5.7cm) high; and another four-case lacquer inro decorated with a horse below bamboo branches, the reverse with a seated monkey -- 2½.in (6.4cm) long, (old wear).
