A gold lacquer five-case inro
decorated in hiramakie, takamakie, nashiji and kirigane with boats and huts among pine in mountainous river landscapes below the rising sun and scattered rectangular calligraphic cartouches identifying the various regions -- 3½.in (8.9cm) long, signed Suifu shohin Gama Morimasa and with pot sealmark; attached gold lacquer manju nestuke decorated with a leaping carp -- 1½.in (3.8cm) diam, signed Koma saku; and attached ivory netsuke in the form of a two-case inro, (old wear).
