engraved on reverse:"presented by Leo A. Rowden M.B., C.M. February 1935",Tthe pendant with white and blue enamelled device with central stone and gold and silver inlays, surrounded by a wreath modelled in silver and set with semi-precious stones, locket to reverse, suspended below an armorial with the motto: "Ex Umbris Eruditio", below two chains set with semi-precious stones, and comprising bars with names of scientists alternating with blue enamelled panels, joined by blue ribbon -- the chain 30in. (76cm.) long, the pendant 3½in. (9cm.) high.
