A rare 17th-Century brass coin scale,
by Jean Robert A Lyon, signed in manuscript on the lid of the fruitwood case and dated 1687, with fifteen (of sixteen) weights, the case -- 7 5/8in. (16.4cm.) wide; and an 18th-Century "Lion-lift" type balance, the fruitwood base with drawer containing a collection of various weights, a steel balance with brass pans and a label.
