the U-shaped body decorated by Louis Solon with Cupid holding hearts skewered by an arrow, monogrammed L.S., reserved on a tied ochre banner on a black ground, between etched and gilt bands and trailing green and blue lines and dots alternating with stylised oak leaf ornament, the slender neck applied with handles, supported by a square base, shape 1986, impressed mark, gilt 'Prince of Wales Feathers' mark, paper labels, circa 1878 (minor chip to base, wear to gilt) -- 42cm. high
