the oviform body moulded to simulate a giant conch shell reserved with two panels painted with Aphrodite and Pan with attendants, applied with figures of nymphs, putti, mermen, stylised dolphins among seaweed, shells and star fish, the tapering plinth applied with two putti catching a fish in a net, late 19th century (damages, restoration and repairs) -- 225cm. high
