A complete run of the volumes printed in London by the Russian Free Press, THE FIRST RUSSIAN PERIODICAL PUBLISHED OUTSIDE RUSSIA, a rare eighth volume appeared in Geneva in 1869 (of this BUCOP records no copy in Britain and the Union List of Serials only the Library of Congress copy in America). It was the first periodical to be consistent in its revolutionary agitation against the Imperial Russian regime, and contains the first appearance of Herzen's My Past and Thoughts. E. Zaleski Mouvements ouvrier et socialistes (1956) vol. I, p.43, records 3 sets in France and Switzerland.
