A Chinese red lacquer quatrefoil box and cover
carved with a central panel of fishermen with baskets and crossing a bridge within geometric borders and further panels of chrysanthemums, prunus and other flowers, the base similarly carved -- 13¾.in (35cm) wide, early 19th Century, (damages), the interior with label stating "Formerly the Property of the Queen Dowager (Adelaide)".
