A Kutani slender tapering vase with flattened everted rim and ribbed geometric band around the shoulder, painted and gilt with birds in flight above gamboling karashishi on the banks of a meandering river lined with shrubs and flowers, the neck with ho-o amongst floral roundels -- 13¾in.
