Born in Tula. In 1937 he graduated from the Gorky Art School. He was imprisoned during Stalins reign and was sent to the Magadan Labour Camp. His pictures are exhibited in the national galleries of Vladimir, Suzdal, Kovrovo and Alexandrov. Many of his pictures are in private collections and museums in Spain, Holland and Belgium.
