the arched case flanked by a figure of Cupid and bow and quiver trophies, on rectangular base with entwined wreath and quiver and torch mount, with bellflower and anthemion cast apron, the dial with painted Roman chapters, lanceolate leaf and floral urn cast centre, blued moon hands (minute lacking), the replaced twin barrel movement with strike on gong stamped for Marti et Cie, lacks rear glass -- 16½in. (42cm.) high
