the case with stepped and moulded hood, giltwood capped pilasters, with breakarch trunk door and on skirted plinth, the dial signed Rob.t Dawson ALFORD on a silvered plaque in the arch, ho-ho bird and floral urn spandrels to the silvered chapter ring with matted centre, subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, adaptations -- 82½in. (210cm.) high
