the case with breakarch hood with wavy cresting, fluted and chamfered front angles and circular panels to the sides, with breakarch trunk door and on plinth with quatreform panelling, the dial with strike/silent ring in the arch, foliate and scroll spandrels to the brass chapter ring, the matted centre with seconds ring engraved with a starburst and date aperture, with plaque signed John Roberts St James's LONDON, the five pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, possibly associated -- 86¼in. (219cm.) high
