An Arita dish painted in iron-red and gilt with birds in flight amongst trailing prunus branches on a ground of shaped panels of chrysanthemums attached to canes, scrolling peonies and birds in rocky landscapes of bamboo and pine -- 14½in. (37cm.) diam, circa 1700.
