An Imari deep fluted bowl painted and gilt with alternating panels of karako at play, foliate roundels, ho-o in flight, peonies issuing from brushwood fences and scattered flowerheads and floral motifs, all around a central roundel containing the Three Friends, the exterior similarly decorated -- 10¾in. (27.2cm.) diam, running fuku mark.
