A late 17th century Russian parcel gilt wine taster
of circular form, with scroll handles, decorated around the sides with reserves of chased floral motifs, the centre struck in relief with a scene depicting Tobias and the Angel and the inscription HOC DUCE TUTUS ERIS, no maker's mark, Russian standard mark with Slavonic figures for 1685-94 and a late 19th century French duty mark, circa 1690 -- 9cm. dia., 4.5oz.
