A mid 18th century steel combination tinderbox & corkscrew,
the underside of lid with fire-steel (no damper plate), tapering sheath, some dents and split on bruised seam, mild corrosion, tinder box side slightly worn down on one edge probably caused by using as a striking edge, short wire helix.
