A London stoneware white metal mounted cylindrical tankard
applied with a 'Punch Party' between columns, palm trees and buildings above a rider and hounds chasing a stag, with a groove handle, applied with a metal rim, the base mounted and inscribed THIS WAS A HUNTING CUP IN THE YEAR 1684. AT THE BLUE BELL. FARNHURST LANE, SUSSEX. FOR THE HUNTERS TO DRINK OUT OF WHEN THEY CAME HOME, circa 1730, the mounts later (cracked through body, chips) -- 20.7cm. high
