the cup with gilt scroll handle terminating in a flower head boss and anthemion husk, gilt to the interior, the front with panel painted in colours with a boy seated with a monk, within gilt line borders titled Un sentiment de tendresse lui fit ensuite repandre quelques larmes, printed blue factory mark and dated for 1823 (restored handle)
