Further details
Wilkinson's used large chargers for Art Pottery designs in the Twenties. Clarice Cliff continued their use for her patterns, also later issuing the shape in a 13 inch size. They were primarily produced for exhibitions but customers could buy them to display alongside tableware or vases. This early piece from 1930 is painted in the same radial style as an example in 'Red Trees and House' sold in our April 1995 Clarice Cliff sale.
