A COLLECTION OF U.S. WINDOW CARDS The following collection of window cards was discovered in 1996 in the attic of a house in Ohio, U.S.A., whilst the owners were undertaking renovations to their property. The window cards had originally come from the local cinema, Bells in Hillsboro, and were being used as insulation in the walls and floorboards. The collection is particularly significant as it dates primarily from the early 1930s, the hardest period to find movie posters from. The following thirty-four lots contain many items never seen at auction before, i.e. Trouble In Paradise (lot 19), and Blonde Venus (lot 23). They are offered here in the condition they were found in and are free of any restoration.
