A Newsham-type hand-drawn Manual Fire Engine
wood and wrought iron, repainted in dark green and red with green panels, lettered '1725' infront, later-pattern Newsham-type engine with steering and drawbar with hinged shaft to rear wheels, inlet with control valve and lever, two vertical single-acting pump cylinders, brass branch with iron swivel joint (probably later adaption) mounted on top of engine, pumping handles at side (shafts replaced), with treadle boards for foot operation with hand-grips above, probably 1730s -- 92in. (34cm.) long, 44in. (112cm.) wide, 69in. (175cm.) high (G, repainted, metal tyres replaced)
