Lot Essay

"This map covers the same area as the Blaeu map of 1635, on which it is based. It contains a little more detail including the boundaries of A. Petrea and A. Deserta. It exists in two states, the earlier being without much of the detail in Italy and central Arabia." (Tibbetts)
