A pair of rare nineteenth century marionettes
one modelled as an Indian juggler with painted features, composition head, carved hands and boots, dressed in original clothes, including turban; the other modelled as a dancer, with painted features and curls at the temples, carved ballet shoes, and original yellow and green silk frock -- both 16in. (41cm.) high, probably English circa 1840; and a red velvet stage curtain with bead tassels and embroidered animals, (some paint flaking - male clothes distressed) )
