Admiral Jellicoe was produced by The Lord Roberts Memorial workshops established in 1915 to provide work for out of work soldiers and sailors disabled in the War. Like the Fums Up, Wuwu and Lulu dolls, Lord Jellicoe was made as a patriotic toy marketed by Harrods. Lord Kitchener and Albert 1, King of the Belgians were part of the same series.
