A piece of Air-India New York headed paper, signed in black biro by Jim Morrison, Robby Krieger, John Densmore and Ray Manzarek, inscribed probably in Densmore's hand The Doors and annotated with a star motif probably in Morrison's hand, additionally inscribed in green ink by the fan who obtained the autographs Summer '68 "The Doors" -- 11x8 5/8in. (28x22cm.)

Lot Essay

The Air-India flight in September 1968 took the Doors to London to begin their six show European Tour. Footage of this flight and The Doors' arrival in the U.K. can be seen in their documentary The Doors Are Open.
