built by J. Phillips with blued steel clad cylinders 1in. bore x 2in. stroke, overmounted valve chests with inlet and exhaust pipes, bar-type crosshead guides, barrelled connecting rods and centrally mounted spoked flywheel with rope grooves, finished in brown and polished brightwork and mounted on simulated stone plinths and wood and metal base -- 8 x 17¼in. (20.3 x 43.7cm.)
