the stepped domed hood, trunk and plinth inlaid with panels of figures, birds and trailing flowers, the hood with pilaster column uprights to the four angles and surmounted by brass orbs with eagle finials, the square brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring, signed John Wright DORKING, enclosing a matted centre with date aperture and seconds ring within foliate scrolling spandrels, the door to the trunk with glazed pendulum aperture, the three train movement with anchor escapement striking three bells, with two brass weights, a pendulum and a winder -- 90½in.
