I., Windsor Castle, Dec: 24 - 1852" (inscribed front blank lightly spotted), contemporary black morocco gilt, the upper cover with central cartouche stamped in gilt with Alfred's name surmounted by crown, the rear cover with similar cartouche stamped "Christmas 1852" (extremities rubbed), t.e.g.
