With a typed letter signed ("Nöel Coward") to Miss Jessel, one page, 8°, 404 East 55th Street, New York, 14 July 1961, thanking her for letting him know the above copy of the book is in her possession, and commenting: "I am afraid you will find no more published poetry by Hernia Whittlebot as her poems were actually written by me! ... I expect the "Betty" was Betty Chester who was a great friend of mine at the time." (2)
