PRINCE HIROHITO (1901-89).
An early example of Hirohito's signature, signed in Japanese on a single sheet of undated Chequers' headed note paper, mounted on a single album leaf.
With examples of two of his delegates' signatures: Prince Chinda's, in Japanese and translated above into English, on a single sheet of undated Chequers' headed paper (large adhesive stain not affecting signature), and General Hanin's, in Japanese on undated Downing Street paper, both mounted on a single album leaf. Lot Essay

These signatures were evidently obtained on Prince Hirohito's trip to Europe, when, from March to September 1921, he visited Great Britain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy.
