A CORINTHIAN POTTERY PYXIS, the body with rounded shoulders and tapered towards foot, the disc lid with tall conical knop and pierced twice on rim edge at either side, the interior rim of the vessel similarly pierced, decorated with bands of encircling lines alternating with single line of dots, the lid and knop with concentric lines, rays around the edge, lid repaired -- 3in. (7.7cm.) high, circa mid-6th Century B.C.; a Corinthian aryballos, the spherical body decorated with a frieze of five komast dancers, the men padded and belted, dots and incised rosettes in the field, rays around the shoulder, concentric lines around the base and everted rim, details in black with added purple, worn -- 2¾in. (7cm.) high, circa 575 B.C.; and a Corinthian pyxis with convex sides and twin vertical loop handles from the shoulder, short vertical rim, the body decorated in 'subgeometric' style with central frieze of goats and panthers, dotted background, rays around the shoulder, damaged and with repairs, lid missing -- 4 3/8in.
