AN EAST GREEK TERRACOTTA PROTOME OF A FEMALE BUST, wearing a low stephane headband, a himation covering her head and large disc earrings; another head similar, pierced for suspension above -- 4½in. (11.4cm.) and 2¼in. (5.6cm.) high respectively, early 5th Century B.C.; and a Sicilian terracotta askos in the form of a horse on tripod legs, the moulded horse head pierced for suspension through the rigid mane, another pierced lug handle on the back together with a central short cylindrical spout, the tail in the form of a second tapering spout -- 8in (20.3cm.) long, circa 500 B.C.
