A LARGE LURISTAN HEAVY BRONZE PENANNULAR RING, with incised chevron motif and grooves on each shoulder, interspersed with two rows of bosses, further bosses around the sides, with closely fitting flat clubbed terminals -- 7in. (17.8cm.) across; a bronze armlet, with hatched chevron and cross-hatched banded decoration; another with tapered ends -- 5½in. (14cm.) diam. av.; a bronze torc with tapering hooked terminals, the hoop with two bands of chevron decoration on either side of central swelling -- 6 5/8in. (16.8cm.) diam; a harness bell of openwork cage form with suspension loop at either end, three balls within -- 4 5/8in. (11.7cm.) high; an oval bronze ceremonial macehead, with deep groove running vertically around the centre, each side with tapering ribs converging at central boss -- 2 1/8in. (5.4cm.) across; a bronze short-sword, the hilt recessed for inlay retaining bitumen fragments and four limestone segments, traces of gold around central bronze rivet, lower rectangular recess with flanges -- 18½in. (47cm.) long; a socketed spearhead with round-shouldered blade, incised hatches along the central stepped rib -- 15¾in. (40cm.) long; a spearhead with flattened midrib, the shank's tang with bent button terminal -- 17¾in. (45.1cm.) long; and an axe-head, with downward-curving blade, the shaft with five tapering projections -- 7 1/8in. (18cm.) long, all 1200-600 B.C. (10)
