A LARGE GROUP OF LURISTAN BRONZES, including a spearhead, with large leaf-shaped blade with broad shoulders and rounded midrib, the tapering tang with damaged terminal -- 19¾in. (50.2cm.) long; four short-swords and spearheads -- 17½in. (44.5cm.) long max.; an axe head with ribbed shaft, bearing four connecting butt-spikes, downward curving blade, mounted -- 8in. (20.3cm.) across; an adze head and two other blades -- 6 5/8in. (16.8cm.) long max.; a 'Master of Animals' finial, in the form of an anthropomorphic Janus-headed tube, flanked by rampant monsters -- 5 3/8in. (13.7cm.) high; a plain standard socket, with everted terminal and narrow stem -- 4 7/8in. (12.3cm.) high; a circular mirror disc with tang, mounted -- 7in. (17.7cm.) diam.; a torc with hook terminals -- 7 5/8in. (19.3cm.) across; a beaker and six bowls -- 6in.
