A SIMILAR GROUP OF LURISTAN BRONZES, including a short-sword with projecting 'horned' guard, flat midrib extending into short tang -- 18¼in. (46.3cm.) long; a leaf-shaped spearhead with broad rounded shoulders, the tang with bent terminal -- 16 7/8in. (42.8cm.) long; a square-sectioned spear butt, the cylindrical socket pierced twice -- 10 5/8in. (27cm.) long; a small triple spiked-butt axehead, mounted -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) across; a socketed arrowhead, with pierced and slit shaft, collared end -- 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) long; a pair of penannular armlets, the hoops elaborately decorated with alternating bands of chevrons and hatched motifs, closely fitting terminals -- both 5in.
